Vanessa Bruno brings store-level demand into replenishment decisions

Vanessa Bruno serves retail, digital and wholesale from a unified stock pool. As the brand grew, its one-for-one replenishment process made it difficult to respond to each store’s potential.

With autone, the team uses forecasts by reference, size and store to guide replenishment, then reviews and adjusts the recommendations before signing off. It can now fine-tune and launch replenishment in around two hours.

More room to pursue growth, with the team in control of what each store receives.

About the brand.

Vanessa Bruno is a Parisian accessible luxury brand known for ready-to-wear, accessories and its sequinned Cabas tote.

Around 600 references per season feed a unified stock pool serving Retail, digital and wholesale, including approximately 70 corners and subsidiaries.

Why autone?

Vanessa Bruno wanted to move beyond one-for-one replenishment while keeping control of its stock strategy and the volume sent to each store. Growth made it more valuable to identify where demand was rising, rather than simply replace the previous week’s sales.

autone’s Replenishment module brings forecasts by reference, size and store into one workflow. It uses two years of history and each store’s growth curve, while letting the team adjust parameters for campaigns, window displays and local events. The team can examine the calculations, challenge recommendations and make the final decision.

“One-for-one is reassuring: you sell, you receive. But today, tracking a store’s growth or decline was our main goal. We wanted to see how far we could go beyond one-for-one.”

The challenge.

Before autone, Vanessa Bruno’s replenishment process was manual and time-consuming. Replacing what a store had sold gave teams a familiar rule to follow, but it offered limited room to account for differences in growth between stores.

That mattered across a network serving roughly 70 corners and subsidiaries, with around 600 references per season. A replenisher needed to consider the product, size and store together, then decide whether available stock would have more potential elsewhere. The existing process made those decisions difficult to manage at scale.

After double-digit growth in winter 2024, Vanessa Bruno wanted to understand how much further it could go by replenishing according to each store’s demand potential.

“Our biggest doubt at the start was trusting the calculation. autone supported us with explanations, calculations and recommendations the teams could challenge, which helped us build trust in the tool.”

The solution.

autone’s Replenishment module gives Vanessa Bruno forecasts at reference, size and store level. The team can see where a store is growing or declining and use that view to decide how much stock to send, instead of automatically replacing every sale.

The team reviews recommendations before each replenishment run and remains responsible for its strategy, the volumes sent to stores and final sign-off. When a campaign, window display or local event changes the outlook for a store, it can adjust the parameters and reflect that context in the decision.

Vanessa Bruno runs replenishment on Monday and Wednesday evenings, as it did before autone. What has changed is the basis for those runs: the team can use store-level forecasts to direct available stock towards demand while controlling stockroom levels itself.

“In two hours, we can fine-tune our replenishment, launch it and feel good about having readjusted stock for a store with a specific event.”

The results.

Store teams have a clearer explanation for why selling an item does not always mean receiving an identical replacement. Vanessa Bruno can also pursue its goal of lighter stockrooms by controlling the quantities sent to each location.
