About the brand.

In 1876, Angèle and Alphonse Lancel opened an innovative boutique on the Grands Boulevards in Paris, combining rare objects, jewelry, and accessories, including handbags. The house distinguished itself with avant-garde creations such as the first automatic lighter and the portable radio. In 1929, Lancel moved to Place de l'Opéra, becoming a meeting place for Parisian icons such as Joséphine Baker and Jean Renoir.

Lancel’s inventory management processes were taking teams days to complete – (rebalancing 2.5 days, replenishment 3.5 days and purchasing 5 days) while stockouts at their flagship store alone were costing the brand €10,000 a month.
